Houndskull Bascinet
The Houndskull bascinet, this one based on the artifacts in Churburg Castle, was a popular helmet in the 14th and 15th centuries, especially with mounted knights. The sharply pointed visor deflected blows away from the head, and minor modifications could be made to make it suitable for jousting! These were also worn with an aventail, with attachment points provided on the helmet if you want to modify it to add one!
These helmets come with an adjustable liner to help you better fit it to your head and are crafted from 14 gauge steel, making it suitable for reenactment!
