Handmade in-house at Dark Age Creations by bladesmith Layne Visser, this large Bowie is forged from Mammoth Ivory Twist Damascus. The patterning flows with a natural, almost ancient character: layered steel that evokes the look of aged ivory and organic movement, giving the blade a depth that reveals itself in shifting light.

At 16 inches, the blade carries a bold, sweeping presence, balanced by a 4 7/8 inch hilt of quilted curly maple. The handle’s figured grain adds warmth and contrast to the steel, offering both visual richness and a solid, confident grip.

Measuring just under 21 inches overall, this is a substantial piece with real weight and authority, built to stand out in any serious collection.

Paired with a hand-made, tooled leather sheath, this Bowie is finished with the same attention to detail from blade to carry.
