Klappvisor Helmet
The Klappvisor is a style of bascinet designed with a vertically lifting face guard. Popular in Germany and Northern Italy from about the 1340's, the design provided great protection for the time and is a clear ancestor in terms of design for many of the later helms, such as the hounskull and great bascinet, before being replaced by sallets and armets.
This version is a 14-guage high carbon steel, designed to withstand punishing blows.
The Helmet comes with a Riveted High-Quality and adjustable Leather Liner with Chinstrap and authentic Brass Buckle.
