GDFB - Wedge Riveted Flat Ring 4-in-1 Coif

This coif from Get Dressed For Battle features a strong wedge riveted European 4-in-1 construction, with a central riveted ring containing four solid punched rings. These rings are fully flattened to help maximize coverage while minimizing weight. This chainmail construction type was used as far back as the Lorica Hamata used in Rome!

Coifs like these were used in conjunction with caps to help protect the head from injuries, such as sword blows, while also draping down over the neck and shoulders for additional protection! The rings of this coif are made from 17 gauge steel with a natural finish, so they may require a good sand scrub from time to time, and are suitable for reenactment!

These coifs are one size fits most.
