A Chainmail piece used primarily as head protection by poorer men-at-arms who could not afford the expensive helms. Coifs where also used by some knights and richer solders under a great helm to provide added protection to the neck and other areas the helm may not cover. Made of 5/15" 16 Ga rings. The mantle is extended so it covers the shoulders (as seen in photo)
